I am M.J.Peters (better known as Mykaru) and have been making armour since 1991. My love of japanese armour led me to move to Japan in 2003 where I spent 2 years studying armour with some of the greatest traditional armorers in Japan (actually, asking stupid questions after gruelling armour text translation sessions), and spent as much time as possible examining armours both original and reproduction. While best known for SCA Japanese armour, I have ceased making combat armour that I may better focus on historical pieces.
